PICA provides a daily newsfeed of articles and PSAs in the public interest. Some of the information posted is specific to Lane County, OR; some is of regional, national or international importance.

PUBLIC INTEREST COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATION - PICA is an alliance of social media managers, journalists, volunteers, public officials and community leaders working together to get information to the public that will be of general benefit to all.

About Friendly Neighbors Forum: We are a forum for sharing information about the Friendly Neighborhood in Eugene, Oregon..

The forum is an independent project which shares news about the work of neighborhood groups including Friendly Area Neighbors, Common Ground Garden, Eugene Southtowne Rotary, the Madison Meadow project, A Safer Eugene & Lane County, Diverse Eugene, SouthTowne Business Association, Eugene Neighborhoods and other community-based organizations.

We serve the area between 18th on the north and 28th/29th on the south -- and between Chambers on the west and Amazon Creek on the eastern boundary. (This area includes the West Friendly "flats", College Hill, Southtowne/South Willamette & West Amazon.)
